On horseback among vineyards

The key to this experience is the direct contact with nature through a horseback ride through our most emblematic vineyard, Altos de Corral. While one group goes to the vineyard, the rest can visit the winery, or do other activities. At the end, once the group is united again, it will be time to regain strength. The table is set.

Sobre la bodega

Bodegas Corral is a centenary winery in Rioja located in the heart of the "Camino de Santiago", on the pilgrims route known as "St.James Way". All these years of experience have led to the point where quality is at the heart of everything we do. We are making progress to become 100% organic and are certified with Wineries For Climate Protection.

Bodegas Corral is a ‘centenary’ winery located in Rioja Alta at the heart of the “Camino de Santiago” the ancient and world-famous pilgrimage route that passes close to the winery.  The company was founded in 1898 and is still in family hands today.

From the winery, you can see the ruins of the San Juan de Acre pilgrim’s hospital which was built in the XII century to care for travel weary pilgrims. We have also built a terrace so that pilgrims can still rest in this special place today. We believe that the reputation of Riojan wine, food and hospitality has grown through the experiences and adventures of pilgrims over the centuries.

Alongside ownership of our own vineyards in all areas of Rioja we work closely with local growers, many for several generations. Focus is on organic and sustainable production of indigenous grape varieties such as Tempranillo and Garnacha. A new release is eagerly awaited of limited release wines from special varieties such as Maturana Tinta aged in amphora and barrel fermented Maturana Blanca.

Our winery has heritage and history to celebrate but we also look to the future to ensure our business thrives and survives for future generations.
