Chef Curtis Stone explores Rioja for new TV Show

Field Trip with Curtis Stone, debuting on public TV stations around the country Oct. 5.

Rioja was one of the first areas Chef Curtis Stone explored for the new TV show, with dishes such as clams with Valencia oranges and bell pepper; pan con tomate, the famous Spanish tomato-smeared bread; and aged bonito with carrots and pimento.

And in Rioja, Chef visited the Marqués de Riscal winery in this stunning space designed by Frank Gehry. They opened a 60-year-old bottle with the winemaker using an atypical method that utilizes the contrast of temperatures to remove the top of the bottle without requiring the removal of the cork.
