Alesanco

The municipality of Alesanco is crossed by the St James’ Way to Santiago, and also benefits from being part of a major crossroads on the Route of the Monasteries on one hand, the Wine Route on the other.

In this area clarete wines are appreciated, although reds and whites are also important. Cereal crops, potatoes, sugar beet and small market gardens for personal consumption are the basis of the town’s agricultural production and small workshops and other shops serve the local population and complement its income.

The little livestock that exists is located in commercial farms or private properties with 2 or 3 animals for domestic use.
