“Throughout the year we dedicate our effort and tenacity to take care of the vines inherited from our ancestors with the sole objective of harvesting grapes with the optimum quality that we demand in the elaboration of our wines.”

In the vineyards of San Prudencio we can find the most traditional varieties of D.O.Ca. Rioja: Tempranillo, Garnacha, Mazuelo and Graciano. After a careful analysis, the wines with the best qualities and characteristics are selected.

Later, they go to rest in french and american oak barrels for at least a year, from which they will obtain certain flavors and essences, until they reach the optimum character and quality.

The brothers Sáenz López, owners, are an essential part of the winemaking activity of the winery, carrying out an integral supervision of the elaboration and aging process, printing their mark and personality to each bottle of San Prudencio Wineries.

They combine traditional methods with a modern vision of Rioja wines.

Rubén Sáenz, author of the wines, is one of the youngest winemakers with a promising future within a region as prestigious as Rioja.
