Description of the municipality

Prehistoric remains of cut and polished stone have been found in Sorzano, although it has not been possible to reconstruct them completely. However, they show that prehistoric Man lived here.

According to research carried out and archaeological remains analysed, it is believed that towards the end of the Neolithic era and in the early days of the Copper Age there were four settlements in the area: Las Planas, Las Llecas, Las Tinieblas and La Dehesa.
