BODEGAS ARADÓN

BODEGAS ARADÓN

From 1957 onwards and continuing to the present day, in the village of Alcanadre, which is located 36 Km east of Logroño, vinegrowers, from Alcanadre, have chosen to pay tribute to Aradon by naming their wines after it. These wines are elaborated with fruit coming from ancestral vineyards, grown with care and expertise by our experienced vinegrowers, whose knowledge has been passed down through the generations over centuries.

Location and climate

We manage our own vineyards located in Alcanadre at altitudes ranging from about 350 m to 600 m above sea level.

Vineyards planted on steep slopes on very diverse soils, full of life, which make the plant gives its best.

Place of confluence of Mediterranean climate, providing light and warmth and Continental-Atlantic climate treating us with freshness and liveliness.

Soils

Our soils are varied. The predominant type being calcareous clay soil with rounded stones and very low organic matter content, which limits the vine’s vigour and provides an excellent vegetation-fruit balance
Most of our vines are rainfed and globet pruned which provides low yields, ensuring the highest quality of our grapes.

Varieties

The perfect Marriage between our main varieties, Tempranillo and Garnacha makes our wines Aradon, unique and full of character, reaching the essence of the wines from our place, Alcanadre.

Mazuelo and Graciano accompany fantastically, providing an enormous potential to our aged wines.

Viura and Garnacha blanca are the varieties used for making our white wines
